The following is a comprehensive break down of how benefits work when participating in the Heroes Hub program. Although we are continuously trying to find new ways to benefit our local community Heroes, we are currently offering these amazing savings:
Hero Home Buying Discount
• Our preferred agents in our network agree to credit 20% of their commission back to the local Hero at closing. The Hero benefit averages $1800 in savings.
• When using our preferred lenders, our Heroes received a $500 lender credit to go toward their closing costs. This is equivalent to getting a free home appraisal.
• When closing at one of our title company partners, the buyer will receive a discounted settlement fee of $100 which is a $250 closing cost savings.
Hero Home Selling Discount
• Our preferred agents in our network agree to provide a 20% discount on their listing services, but they will still receive a full-service listing and home selling experience. The average savings to our Hero is $1800.
• When closing at one of our title company partners, the seller will receive a discounted settlement fee of $100 which is a $250 closing cost savings.
Hero Home Selling AND Buying Discount
• If you need to sell and buy, you can use our benefits on both sides of the transaction. The Hero will be able to “double dip” on the 20% savings with an average of $4600 in savings back in the pocket.
Donation to Charity
• It’s amazing to help our local Heroes save money on real estate, but it brings us even more pleasure to also use this program to give back to our community. For every home purchase or sale, Heroes Hub will donate up to $500** to that Hero’s charity.
*All estimated numbers on the 20% saving is based on an average sales price of $300,000. The savings will always be 20%, but it will increase or decrease based on the sales price of the home
** The donation to charity is based on sales price. Any home purchase or sell at $250,000 or less, Heroes Hub will donate $250 to charity. Anything above $250,000 as the final transaction price will be $500

Denton, TX— Dallas-based nonprofit Melody of Hope is partnering with The North Texas – Audie Murphy chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) to host a benefit concert to the Denton area featuring “Heroes Rock!” headlined by Whiskey Myers. The concert is at 8:30 p.m., on Thursday, October 13 at Rockin’ Rodeo, located at 1009 Avenue C in Denton, Texas. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
“The purpose of ‘Heroes Rock!’ is to drive vibrant young professionals and the millennial market to a cause-based event,” said Charlie Wendell, the executive director and founder of Melody of Hope. “The event will engage and educate concert-goers on AUSA’s mission and provide ways for attendees to get involved with what AUSA is doing in the community.”
While there are many ways AUSA chapters seek to fulfill the national organization’s purpose, the North Texas – Audie Murphy chapter is recognized for its commitment to teaching leadership skills to college level ROTC chapters in our region, a model that current Army commanders are seeking to duplicate in the field, according to Richard Kaniss, the chapter president and retired army colonel of 30 years. The North Texas – Audie Murphy chapter also seeks to benefit wounded veterans in the region and offers support for other North Texas military-focused nonprofits.
“While some millennials see AUSA as an organization for their dads or grandfathers who are retired from the military, the organization offers many opportunities for this audience to network and grow professionally,” said Kaniss. “We hope this show will help our chapter connect with young professionals who want to support the military and can offer fresh perspectives to our organization.”
To purchase tickets or donate to AUSA, visit http://www.ticketfly.com/event/1278751. In addition to the show, an open auction featuring music and sports memorabilia will be featured at the venue.

Melody of Hope achieves this by hosting benefit concerts, music festivals and other events in which the proceeds are donated to partnering charities.
