AUSA North Texas “Passing the Torch” Leadership Program

Join AUSA North Texas on Wednesday evening April 9 at the Gateway Center on the University of North Texas for a leadership discussion with Army ROTC cadets. The program features the Band of Brothers episode “Day of Days” covering airborne operations at the onset of the D-Day invasion of Normandy 6 June 1944. The evening includes free pizza for AUSA members and guests, a screening of the Band of Brothers episode and an interactive discussion of the leadership lessons to be drawn from the story.

Passing the Torch Leadership Program Event

AUSA North Texas presents a Leadership Program event on Campus at TCU in Ft Worth Wednesday evening Dec 4 from 6:00-10:00PM.  Join us for some pizza, the movie Battle LA and some in depth discussion of the leadership lessons that can be taken from the movie. Experienced leaders from business as well s the military will join a panel leading interactive discussion with ROTC cadets from TCU. AUSA North Texas Distributes Proceeds to Wounded Warrior Programs in our AO

AUSA North Texas Chapter President Kermit Gable and 1st VP Rich Kaniss (along with Title Sponsor BearCom) present checks for $21,500 to both “Heroes on the Water” and “Operation Once in a Lifetime” here in North Texas after our annual Wounded Warrior Golf Classic. Our 4th Annual AUSA North Texas Wounded Warrior Golf Classic saw more than 240 golfers and volunteers rally to the cause and raise awareness and donations in support of North Texas Wounded Warriors. In the past 4 years the chapter has raised mire than $140,000.00 for our wounded warriors. Mark your calendar and koi us next October for the 2014 AUSA Wounded Warrior Classic at Firewheel Golf Club in Garland Texas. Mark it down today!!!!

America’s Future Series. US Global Competitiveness and National Security

Mr Pickens is our host and we will be honoring the CEOs of USAA, 7-11and Fluor Corporation for the support they provide to our military and veteran communities.

In addition, Tracy Merzi of the Dallas Business Journal will be moderating a panel discussion with these 4 business leaders around the subject of US Global Competitveness and National Security

We will cap the luncheon event with the presentation of the Megellas Military Leadership Award to Clint Bruce (former Navy Seal and the Founder of “Carry the Load”)  Admiral (Ret) Patrick Walsh will make the presentation to Clint.

AUSA North Texas Leadership Program Fund Raising Event

Join us Saturday 26 October 2013 at the Lemon Bar in Frisco TX for a great afternoon of fun playing Poker.  The tournament is free–but any donations you care to make will go to the AUSA North Texas leadership development program “Passing the Torch”. The program provides experienced leaders (military, business and elected officials) with opportunity to coach, teach and mentor the senior ROTC Cadets at several universities in North Texas along their path toward becoming member of the “Next Generation of Army Leaders”  See the flyer for details and registration.

Please join us Wednesday Nov 13 at the DoubleTree Hotel, Campbell Center in Richardson TX for an event sponsored by Mr. T.
